Postage Stamp Quilt Along :: Top Finished!

Postage Stamp Quilt Along - top

Here's my completed quilt top! (Finally!!)
This is just a few months behind from the Postage Stamp Quilt Along over on PS I Quilt. I let it sit for a while and finally powered through it the last couple of weekends.

Now I'm stuck! What should I do for the backing? I was thinking a solid piece from the Weekends collection, but those are pretty busy prints. Also, the binding....maybe a solid purple to frame out the stamps?

What do you think? Backing? Binding?

  1. I"m a sucker for pieced binding... purple and grey, or purple and green maybe? And I tend to like a busy print for the back... that way if you use it for a picnic, it won't show grass stains :-)
    Its gorgeous, well done!

  2. What a gorgeous quilt and so much work. I agree with Cristin about purple and green binding, but never would I lay something this beautiful on the ground. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

  3. What about purple binding and green on the back. The quilt is lovely!

  4. Hi Elena!

Amazing quilt! I've always loved postage stamp quilts, but never dared to start one. Yours is so pretty and fresh looking. A solid binding would be my choice....What about aqua?! It would really pop and be a little unexpected. You know how I love aqua! ;) Any color would be lovely though. I think a busy backing would be so fun. To me, backings are pretty versatile....use whatever you want!

Can't wait to see it all done!

I love getting comments. Here's where you can do that! :)
